to Hix Island House, we think our lofts are very special because:
Ecology
is important at Hix Island House. Solar panels augment the electricity
and hot water. Water is collected in back up cisterns. Your shower and
basins flow to guavas, bananas, papayas and lemons; giving back to Nature.
Your
sun and solar panels on the roof and batteries provide all the electricity
you will use. There is commercial (grid) electricity but is only used
as back up.
Your
Sun and hot water solar panels provide all your hot water. All your appliances
and lights are energy efficient.
You have a back up cistern if municipal
water is off, and a pump that can run from the batteries.
The water that flows from your shower and
sinks nurtures the fruit trees, flowers and grasses.
